The government relations manager will be responsible to develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with critical stakeholders including regulators, government as well as external associations and other organizations.
What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years clients relations, government affairs or business consulting experience in the financial communications and/or public affairs and relations, preferably with experience gained in a professional services and/or corporate environment
  • Experience in regulatory advocacy and having a deep understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with Government officials and their staffs;
  • Experience in working with all levels of management and staff as well as external individuals and groups;
  • Strong research and analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts through oral and written mediums;
  • Ability to implement strategic plans as well as respond to short-term objectives.
  • Ability to understand and communicate sophisticated financial and regulatory issues
  • Solid understanding of financial protocols and practices
  • Experience with policy issues and public affairs will be beneficial
  • Ability to multi-task, self-motivated, strategic thinker
  • Strong time management skills

Impact You'll Make:

  • Lead contact for Philippines regulators. Manage relationships effectively to build confidence in TransUnion as a trusted business partner, while preserving TransUnion interest in the stakeholders relationship.
  • Promote a strong relationship with PH regulators by establishing appropriate lines of communication that enable meaningful dialogue on developments and a better understanding of the views of the regulators.
  • Monitor, track, and analyze all regulatory and legislative developments that affect TU business and operations within the Government and provide regular updates to Management team
  • Maintain stakeholder mapping of regulatory and ministerial offices across the region to ensure updated identification of all officials relevant to TU business.
  • Ensure the development of appropriate internal measures to facilitate the sharing of key regulatory changes to business decision makers.
  • Synthesize regulatory feedback and key findings to senior leadership and key stakeholders to drive awareness of and help anticipate regulatory concerns.
  • Execute and lead high priority regulatory ad-hoc Projects where appropriate.
  • Support development of regulatory strategy and priorities for TU and establish communication protocols with corporate GR function and regional offices Monitor business/government issues; stay up to date on current issues
  • Develops relationship of trust with stakeholders
  • Leads by example and sets expectation from teams in dealing with people professionally.
  • Implement effective horizon scanning for upcoming relevant legal and policy developments across the region
  • Identify opportunities and draft responses to regulatory, parliamentary, government and other consultations
  • Assist in identifying and developing relationships with relevant external groups
  • Active participation in a range of external for a to represent the business' interest in policy making
