Job Summary:
AssetWorks is seeking a motivated self starter to lead our fast growing IIoT hardware business. We are looking for a leader who has proven skills and the ability to develop and implement a strategy to grow a line of business exceeding customers’ expectations. This position will manage traditional and EV fueling solutions, motor pool management and the growing sensor based approach to Enterprise Asset Management.
This leader will own a product line with responsibility for supplier management, operations, and product management, focusing on growing our installed base as well as increasing market share. This role will put you squarely in the mix between business, technology, implementation and support. This position requires strong business acumen and the ability to execute a strategy. Your creativity and innovative solutions will directly impact the success of our service offerings to existing and future clients.
Job Description:
Leadership / Management
- Change oriented mentality to streamline processes, improve product and grow
- Ownership of long-range, annual, and quarterly financial and non-financial goals
- Develop and communicate a clear vision of goals and objectives, strategies, philosophies about growth, revenue generation and profitability, and customer success
- Generate, maintain, and review with management, annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue statistics (leading and lagging indicators) on financial statistics, productivity rates, roadmap execution, release planning, customer satisfaction trends, and overall improvement trends.
- Be hands-on in day-to-day operations including sales performance, forecasting, R&D capacity management, resourcing, customer support, and customer project delivery
- Identify and communicate risks and issues and action remediation plans
- A subject matter expert in hardware solutions to support asset management
- Be a go-to person and strategic leader within the company
Product Management and Engineering
- Solicit customer feedback and understand market
- Ensure product roadmaps are established, followed, and adapted to the market
- Balance the investment in the R&D roadmap with investment in maintenance and custom work to maximize growth and retention of existing customers while ensuring efficient operations
Program Management
- Collaborate with the PMO for efficient resource management
- Provide monthly project portfolio performance reports to upper management
- Serve as the escalate point to resolve problems as necessary
Sales – working with Sr. Director of Sales
- Collaborate with sales to increase new customer acquisition and expand existing accounts
- Develop and maintain competitive intelligence programs and generate industry direction reports to support the development of new features and products
Customer Care
- Serve as chief hardware customer advocate
- Implement and maintain client support initiatives
- Monitor and manage performance of the customer care team including metrics relating to program usage, satisfaction levels, ticket throughput, and resolution
- Coordinate the administration of annual customer satisfaction and information gathering surveys and other communication tools.
Financial
- Provide annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue results/forecasts and costs
- Ensure financial targets for growth and profitability are met
REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or other related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in business management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Prior experience in B2B fuel, EV or telematics with experience with Fleet software for the public sector market a plus
- Experience directing the day to day and long-term operations strategies and goals of a small to medium-sized business unit within a larger organization
- Experience managing multiple departments and cross-functional teams
- Exceptional financial management skills
- Expert knowledge and success in sales, marketing, technical delivery, customer care, customer success, product or development strategies, as well as strong business acumen
- Excellent communication, both orally and in writing with outstanding presentation skills – pivotal to this role is an ability to build relationships with customer senior leadership
- Ability to handle escalations independently and with customer empathy
- Champion change efforts to overcome organization mindsets
- Familiar with fleet fueling technologies and competitors
- Experience developing and maintaining Strategic Product Roadmaps based on multiple inputs such as market research & customer feedback
- Working knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle and comfortable working with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Care and Product Management teams
- Proven record of developing, motivating and leading teams to achieve goals
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines, both as an individual and as part of a team
- Ability to dynamically assess and balance competing products priorities
