Job Description
The Hardware team at Solidigm is looking for a Hardware Architect. Our team is responsible for all product design development phases ranging from product planning and architecture, PCB circuit design, simulations, layout prototyping and validation leading to high volume manufacture of Solidigm's Solid-State Drives (SSDs).
The Hardware Architect is responsible for planning the hardware for our SSD products including:
- assessing product requirements,
- engaging with customers,
- developing and documenting hardware architectural plans,
- researching components,
- performing modelling and simulations,
- guiding development and validation activities and strategies,
- prototyping and pathfinding and
- ensuring alignment with high volume manufacture HVM.
The Hardware Architect will develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, experience and judgment. The Hardware Architect needs to work closely with hardware and other cross-functional teams during the planning, architecture and design phases for smooth development of products and to meet product schedules.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline
Minimum requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the following areas.
- In-depth knowledge of Solid State Drives, DRAM, NAND, PCIe, Power and Thermal
- Relevant experience of hardware design flow such as component selection, digital and analog circuit design, schematic capture, layout, simulation and validation
- Knowledge of signal integrity, high speed signal fundamentals and simulation techniques
- Hands on experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies and soldering equipment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand and communicate complex concepts
- Strong planning and documentation skills
- Effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Able to effectively work both, independently and in a team environment

Salary Range: $116,500 - $174,660
