Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
As our Group Treasurer, you will be responsible for leading an effective and high-quality treasury function that supports the Meridian Group’s strategic direction and manages the financial risks that it faces.
More specifically, you will be responsible for investigating, monitoring and executing in debt capital markets to optimise both the Group balance sheet and finance costs while providing strategic guidance on interest rate, foreign exchange, and debt management. You will work closely with Meridian’s finance team and, as a member of the Strategy and Finance Leadership team, will actively contribute to the success of that team and the wider organisation.
While we are looking at a full time role, if you have the right expertise we would definitely work with someone who is interested in pursuing this role on a part-time basis and our flexible work options will make things easier for you and your whānau.

Extensive financial experience (preferably at a senior level)

In-depth understanding of current and emerging NZ financial market trends

Strong financial and business acumen, with ability to prepare and present recommendations at Board level

Excellent project management, problem solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills

Tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Finance preferred
