About your team

The GPS CAO team helps set, deliver and measure the GPS strategy and roadmap.  We provide the key capabilities of Strategy, Governance, Business Intelligence and Change Delivery across GPS.  As part of this accountability, we need to define and optimise how GPS operates, ensuring we can meet customer needs, deliver our strategy, and achieve sustainable profitability, through empowered, high performing teams.   As part of this, we are seeking to grow our Agile Coaching capability to enhance the support to our Teams, Stakeholders and the Enterprise, and continue our journey towards agility.

About your role
We are seeking an experienced leader to drive our GPS Agile transformation.  This includes

Leading the GPS agile coaching capability, with coaches embedded in our delivery teams Informing our GPS operating model design and delivery approach Championing agility across GPS and FIL

Key Responsibilities

Lead the GPS Agile Coaching capability

  • Build and lead the GPS Agile coaching capability, ensuring consistency in approach
  • Partner with delivery teams to analyse current ways of working and design a strategy for the adoption and continuous improvement of Agile practices
  • Enable Agile Teams to succeed with a focus on growing capabilities in the teams
  • Oversee and guide agile teams in implementing and practicing agile methodologies

Inform GPS Operating Model Design

  • Inform design and delivery approach for the GPS operating model, in particular agile delivery and portfolio management frameworks, practices and routines
  • Provide guidance on agile best practices
  • Provide guidance to ensure successful execution of agile initiatives within the organization.

Champion GPS Agility

  • Effectively communicate agile principles, practices and overall ways of working across the organization
  • Collaborate with GPS teams to drive the adoption of agile practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Drive cultural change by championing an agile mindset
  • Act as a change agent, driving awareness and understanding of agile principles and practices across the organization.

About you

  • Previous experience in:
    • building and leading agile teams
    • driving Agile Adoption in a large organisation is a plus
    • successfully coaching Teams through the adoption of Agile Frameworks as an Agile Coach in a globally distributed environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile Frameworks
  • Practical experience with one or more Scaled Agile Approaches (Scrum of Scrums, Spotify model, LeSS, Nexus, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, etc.)
  • Extended track record of delivering training in a manner that ensures knowledge transfer
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong influencing skills to achieve alignment up, down and across the organization
  • Innovative and creative thinking in order to solve problems and get things done
