The Downstream & Trading Reporting & Analysis Organisation is a team of >1,000 colleagues providing accurate, timely and insightful analysis to deliver more and cleaner energy solutions.
Within the Downstream & Trading Reporting & Analysis Team, there is a large team responsible for Global Lubricants PAR. This role reports into the Global Lubricants PAR Manager and is directly responsible for supporting the Global Lubricants Business for the EMEA working closely with the SVP Global Lubricants EMEA.
What’s the role?
The Global Lubricants EMEA PAR Manager is responsible for supporting the delivery of PAR at the Regional Level for the EMEA region.
The Global Lubricants EMEA PAR Manager will consider economic and business trends, review past company performance, and attempt to anticipate obstacles and potential problems, all with an eye toward forecasting the business’ future financial results and supporting delivery of its ultimate potential.
The key stakeholder for the PAR Manager is the SVP Global Lubricants EMEA. with whom they will partner closely to deliver the following:
• The annual or other strategic plans for the Business and relevant constituent parts.
• Management information for the Global Lubricants Business
• Development of all material for quarterly or other scheduled appraisal of performance.
• Preparation of financial forecasts
• Working closely with the Business Finance and Controllers Teams to ensure seamless flow of information on the business activities ensuring accurate and timely accounting entries for financial and management information purposes.
• The EMEA PAR Manager will work closely with the Global & Regional PAR Managers to ensure alignment of activities and execution of standard Downstream PAR processes.
The Global Lubricants EMEA PAR Manager leads a team of 7 direct reports and is also part of the Reporting & Analysis, Global Lubricants Leadership Team.
As this role has the interface with the SVP for the Region, it also acts as a primus inter pares for all of the Global Lubricants PAR teams supporting the EMEA with accountability for ensuring standard, efficient processes are executed across the Region, in line with guidance from DS PAR and Global Lubricants Global PAR Teams.
What we need from you?
You will inspire people to make changes that will have a direct impact on our success. Furthermore, you will have:
• A Bachelors or Master’s degree or Professional Qualification, in Accounting/Finance with exceptional numeracy skills.
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of Downstream Financial and Management Information Systems and Data Flows as well as a passion for leveraging technology to automate MI and increasingly build data-driven plans & forecasts.
• Passion for the Downstream Business, The Energy Transition, deep understanding of the business and curiosity for how the business delivers value.
• The ability to process and link large volumes of incomplete information into a compelling set of actionable analyses for senior business leaders is key
