What You’ll Do
As Global Head of Commercial, Digital Diagnostics, you will lead PathAI’s commercial strategy and execution across the United States, driving the adoption of our AISight, our digital pathology image management system, and our AI-product portfolio in key pathology laboratory markets. You’ll be at the helm of our Digital Diagnostics commercial organization tasked with growing our presence in the reference lab, academic medical centers, health system, independent pathology lab, and biobank segments across the US, Europe, South America and select other markets. This is a unique opportunity for a strategic sales leader with a proven track record to build, mentor, and scale a high-performing global team while shaping the future of healthcare and diagnostic medicine. Key responsibilities include:
- Sales Strategy and Delivery: refine PathAI’s existing commercial strategy, by market segment, and identify opportunities to accelerate growth and increase market share for PathAI’s digital diagnostics solutions.Management Team Engagement: as a member of PathAI senior leadership, keep executive team and Board of Directors updated on team goals and progress, blockers, and strategic growth opportunities; includes overall pipeline management (Salesforce)

Key Strategic Account Management: personally direct and oversee commercial engagements with the most strategic and “must win” commercial accounts, including through ownership of senior clinical, medical, IT, and Innovation leadership

Voice Of The Customer: embody the voice of the customer and champion customer needs to internal cross functional stakeholders including Platform Product, Algorithm Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Pathology, Regulatory, Marketing, Customer Success

Strategic Partnership Leadership: collaborate with Digital Diagnostics strategic partners to drive GTM activities including distributor, co-sell/co-market, referral, and OEM relationships to drive customer adoption in parallel with PathAI direct sales channels

Team Management: manage and inspire an “All-In” results-oriented sales team, fostering a high-performance culture. Mentor and coach current team members, ensuring they meet their goals and continuously develop

Competitive Landscape: Monitor competitive dynamics and market trends to ensure PathAI remains ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving industry, and aware of potential opportunities for partnership or M&A

Hiring and Scaling: oversee hiring and team scaling as the Digital Diagnostics business grows, while putting in place the commercial infrastructure to onboard, train, and manage additional team members
- Biopharma Business: partner with PathAI biopharma business development and partnering teams to support opportunities that involve distribution of algorithm products to Digital Diagnostics customers
What You Bring
- Proven Sales Leadership: 10+ years in enterprise software sales / consultative sales, with at least 5 years of experience leading successful sales teams. Experience in AI-driven solutions or healthtech is highly preferred.
- Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to set and exceed sales goals, manage complex and multi-stakeholder sales processes, and drive strategic collaborations with customers.
- Proven Executive Leadership: prior experience in a role with direct experience engaging with C-Suite and Board of Directors level stakeholders.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare systems, diagnostics, AI, or digital pathology is a plus. We also welcome candidates with backgrounds in other healthcare tech fields.
- All-In Growth Mindset: a passion for building and staying relentlessly focused on delivering high impact to our customers, employees, and to patients.
- Adaptability & Travel: Ability to travel up to 40% and work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Nice to have: existing relationships in medical leadership (Chair, Pathology, CMO), IT leadership (CIO, VP Laboratory IT), and administrative roles (Chief Innovation Officer) at leading labs and health systems
