About the Role:
As a Ruby on Rails (RoR) Developer you will work closely with architects to plan and build new applications, managing every stage of development with Ruby on Rails and Go, from design to deployment. Ensure production systems remain stable and reliable by coordinating with a dedicated support team to address any issues. Enhance the quality and performance of existing services by applying best practices from infrastructure teams, architects, and your own creative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full software development life-cycle of new applications, starting with technical design together with architects and ending with deployment to production together with the DevOps team
- Keeping production stable and working, having a dedicated team as a first line of support
- Improvement of technical health of existing services according to best practices from architects, infra team, or your own ideas
Required Competence and Skills:
- 4+ years of experience in developing server applications with Ruby on Rails;
- Experience in designing and implementing data-driven applications powered by both MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB) solutions;
- Experience in optimizing performance in relational databases.
- Experience writing RESTful APIs and understanding the HTTP protocol;
- Experience in writing unit and integration tests;
Nice to have:
- Experience developing in Golang.
- Experience working with React.
- Experience with gRPC/protobuf, ApacheThrift.
- Experience solving high-load problems
- Experience with concurrent applications.
