Primary Purpose:
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with the CAPEX objectives set for each fiscal year, taking into account the 5-year roadmap and new requirements, managing the resources of the assigned plants (at least 4 plants). Complying with cost, time and quality.
Primary Duties
Follow-up and monitoring of the execution of the CAPEX projects of the assigned plants to ensure the scope, time, quality and cost committed in an efficient manner.
Generate strategies together with plant managers on a regular basis in order to improve the development of CAPEX projects and the attention to their needs.
Ensure constant communication with project engineers at each of its plants, including floor walkthroughs to corroborate progress and resolve critical issues.
Efficiently manage the resources of their assigned plants.
Reporting with management on the status of CAPEX projects (operationally and financially).
Ensure the fulfillment of the objectives set for the project engineers of their assigned plants aligned with the business strategy throughout the fiscal year.
Support the project engineer in identifying and analyzing constraints, assumptions and risks (Keeping team members focused on risk management and possible responses to risks)
Ensure compliance with the responsibilities and ethics of the project engineers under his charge.
Determines the need for change requests, including recommended corrective and preventive actions and repair of defects (Approve and/or reject changes).
Ensure project closure at the end of each phase and for the project as a whole on an official basis until capitalization.
Verify feasibility, supervise the development and analyze the proposals of the CARs (Business Case) of each of its assigned plants to be subsequently approved.
Attendance and follow-up of LRRs (monthly communication meetings) of strategic projects of assigned plants to ensure that critical issues are effectively resolved.
Decision making under pressure and resolution of unforeseen events.
Align the way of working and manage the projects of each of the assigned plants, which in turn will be homologated with the rest of the plants in the region. Responsible for maintaining a standard.
Ensure the standardization of documents and files to be kept in CAPEX projects aligned with the various company policies.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering: Mechanical Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Chemical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Electromechanical Engineer, Business Administrator, Architect, Civil Engineer.
- Master's degree in project management or administration or PMP certification.
- Advance professional English
- Professional Management of strategic Industrial Projects of more than 15M USD per year, Management of at least 50 CAPEX projects on average per year, Management of a staff of at least 5 project engineers (Experience in the above of at least 7 years).
- Excellent interpersonal skills include working in collaborative team environments and establishing and maintaining ongoing business relationships.
