General Manager
Exterior Source/Bath Source is a local home improvement company established in 1997 and located in Chesapeake, Virginia. We install acrylic bath systems, gutters, roofing, siding, decking, windows, doors, trim and other exterior products. We are currently looking for a GM who will function as a primary point of contact to the President and will be responsible for the following:
Key Functions
- Work with Project Managers to evaluate new subcontractors and suppliers
- Ensure consistent communication in order to foster a spirit of teamwork, responsibility and cooperation throughout company
- Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes, permits, zoning ordinances, OSHA requirements, etc.
- Assist with pricing of large bids when needed
- Oversee and coach managers and supervisors of all departments
- Formulate both long and short-term goals and business plans to achieve those goals
- Do quarterly evaluations with all managers and supervisors
- Partner with HR to recruit, evaluate, and train employees and address employee issues
- Provide a vision of excellence to all employees in the company
- Track labor and material costs to ensure acceptable margins
- Ensure all employees are fully trained, competent and capable
- Ensure safety meetings are being conducted and certifications are up to date
- Assist in all daily operations
- Create weekly reports
- Conduct occasional job inspections to ensure quality, proper compliance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university
- General construction knowledge
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- At least 7 years of managerial experience (preferred)
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision
Salary: $90k plus paid vacation, paid holidays, 401k, company car, cell phone, etc.…

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
