Sodexo are seeking suitably qualified and highly motivated Grounds Maintenance employees to join our Building Maintenance team on a permanent, full-time basis across multiple locations within the Pilbara region.
Your role will see you working in a small dedicated team to ensure that the grounds and gardens across our camp sites and adjacent facilities are kept in great shape while contributing to the overall presentation of the grounds and facilities we service for our clients.
Job Description
Suitable candidates must have the following:
- Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping at a large scale commercial facility
- Able to safely operate various gardening tools such as mowers, whipper snippers and blowers
- Great teamwork and customer service skills
- Asbestos awareness and chemical handling accreditations will be highly regarded
- Strong work ethic and strong commitment towards safety
Qualifications
Required licences and qualifications
- Qualifications in Horticulture, landscaping or similar would be highly regarded
- WA Manual Drivers Licence
- White Card
- Chainsaw Ticket
- Pest control certification
- Herbicide certification
- Pool Maintenance certification
- Reticulation certification
Additional Information
Key duties include:
- Lawns and ground maintenance including mowing, whipper snipper operation, weeding and fertilizer application
- Trimming of trees and shrubs, garden bed creation and weeding, new planting, deadheading and removal of shrubs and plants where necessary
- Landscaping duties including installation of pathways, concreting, retaining wall construction, garden edgings, water features and irrigation systems
- Rubbish, garden waste, cobweb and debris removal
- Basic repairs and maintenance to site grounds and landscape features
- Preparation and lock down of grounds and equipment in cases of emergency
