Our Consumer Goods Division is dedicated to helping brands, retailers and manufacturers worldwide deliver safe, quality and ethically made products to their consumers. Job Description

Job Responsibilities 

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Supervise a team of 10-15 quality inspectors in Newcastle, South Africa and oversee their performance through Key Performance Indicators. Take actions based on their results.
  • Act as a trainer and coach, provide technical support and guidance to the inspectors and conduct performance evaluations and on-site audits.
  • Build the sense of belonging to QIMA for all members of the team.
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve standards of service to prevent issues that may impact the quality of inspections.
  • Lead the claim investigations received from clients and implement the corrective action plans.
  • Represent QIMA during meetings with customers to support the sales development in the region, provide technical expertise, and kickoff inspection programs.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the inspection program of the KA clients in the regions.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all the suppliers and factories where we inspect. 
  • Optimize and reduce costs in the region.


    Qualifications

    Your profile

    In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

    • Master’s degree in engineering; strong familiarity with Quality Management or Product Organization
    • Practical experience in performing QC inspections with a strong desire to improve internal protocols.
    • Technology driven mindset.
    • Strong willingness and potential to become a manager of high-scale teams with a mindset oriented towards performance management.
    • Ability to travel to meet your team members and to visit clients and factories.
    • Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
