The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team based in South Brisbane, Queensland. You will join a team of Software Engineers, Data Scientists, designers and Product Owners and extend Fugro’s award winning ROAMES solution. You will build software components that are cloud native (AWS) and use serverless services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, S3, StepFunctions, Glue, Athena (and may more) to achieve highly scalable performant solutions.

About You

Your success in securing this role looks like this:

• Experience building cloud native applications professionally in a cooperative team environment. AWS experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with one or more of the following languages; C#, node.JS, Pyhton, C++ or Java.
• Experience with some of the following DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, Athena, Glue or SQL.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure code.
• A critical thinker and clear communicator with the writing skills necessary for successful asynchronous collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
• Able to prioirisitse and adapt to rapid changes to requirements and the work environment.

Things we value (but are not essential)

• Experience with spatial or remote sensing data
• Good understanding of Mathematics
• Expereience or interest in 3D computer graphics or game engines such as Unity3D
• Experience managing high scale compute workloads (cloud or prem)
