What our Front-End Technology Transfer Specialist will do  

Working out of our Manchester site, our Front-End Technology Transfer Specialist will be part of our growing Industrial team. Here, you will have a wider responsibility for the overall program of technology transfers between Nexperia’ s internal and external manufacturing sites.  

You will be a ‘front end’ expert, with a strong track record of fab experience in a process engineering or process integration role and a good knowledge of the full lifecycle of the semiconductor manufacturing process and supply chain. You will also possess exceptional team management and organisational skills, and the ability to lead global teams with a diverse skill set. 

Key responsibilities will include 

  • Managing a portfolio of technology transfer projects 
  • Leadership of a technical team, consisting of direct and indirect reports in the timely execution of technology qualification projects to meet target reliability, yield, and cost KPIs 
  • Regularly reporting to BGMOS & T&O management teams to update on project progress and adherence to budget and plan 
  • Managing conflicts between transfer projects and production requirements of the manufacturing sites 
  • Business case creation and delivery, including CAPEX initiation 
  • Liaison with Procurement teams, equipment vendors, and installers to ensure timely installation of tools in line with the transfer plan. 

What you will need  

Essential 

  • Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a relevant discipline 
  • 10+ years of direct Semiconductor Fab experience 
  • Prior experience in a management or leadership role (direct/indirect reports) 
  • Experience in managing projects with $50M+ value 

Beneficial 

  • Prior experience with CAPEX processes and business case creation 
  • Experience in back-end (packaging) manufacturing  
  • Experience in a fab operations role (non-engineering)
