Getting To Know The Opportunity:

This role is a part of our Voya Investment Management (Voya IM) Entry Level Analyst Program. This program, which will begin in July 2025, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your career in your respective fields while gaining hands-on experience and formal development and training.

The Finance Analyst - Expenses is a role for a team-focused contributor who will work with a sense of purpose, deliver results focused on customer experience, seek continuous improvement and foster a feeling of community with teammates. This role will perform financial planning & analysis with a focus on expense management and forecasting. Candidate should have advanced computer skills and keen interest in business products, metrics and economics as it relates to asset management. The Finance Analyst - Expenses will develop management reports & presentations focused on improving transparency and data visualization. The Finance Analyst - Expenses will be an initiative-taker with the ability to understand complex business initiatives and craft metrics and analysis around results. Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Assist in month-end/quarter-end close reporting and analyses including investigation into variance analyses and written explanations.

  • Support the expense forecast process including aggregate input from business partners, perform actual to forecast reconciliations and support period over period analyses and trends.

  • Assist with the expense management process including monthly calculations of sales commissions, investment team deals and similar expense arrangements in line with contracted terms.

  • Assist with headcount reporting process including data visualization of headcount metrics.

  • Provide ad hoc request support including data analysis and reporting to support requests from business partners, controllership, revenue and management reporting teams.

  • Make recommendations to enhance FP&A processes, reporting and tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and timeliness on an ongoing basis.

  • Provide support for strategic initiatives including cost benefit analyses and project level actuals reporting.

  • Provide timely and accurate consolidation and delivery of monthly and quarterly reports and deliverables.

  • Build relationships with internal and external business unit customers and work to exceed customer expectations for reporting and analysis.

  • Communicate results and recommendations clearing and effectively.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:  

  • Applicants must be graduating with an undergraduate degree in December 2024/Spring 2025.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar field.

  • Strong academic standing

  • Internship experience in a similar role within finance is a plus.

  • Enthusiasm for financial markets and investment management.

  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.

  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and solutioning.

  • Flexible and comfortable working with changing timeframes and tight deadlines.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • High proficiency in MS Excel (including creation of pivots, advanced formulas and comfortable working with large, dynamic data sets).

  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint (including presenting data in charts and graphs).

  • Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$70,000 plus bonus
