Finance Manager, Poland

Your new role

As part of the regional finance team in Central Europe and the global finance network of a large multinational company, this role follows global best practices in delivering financial services to the business. The Finance Manager will oversee financial operations in Poland, ensuring effective financial planning, reporting, analysis, and compliance while maintaining the financial health and integrity of the Poland operations.

Your key responsibilities will be:

Finance & Accounting

  • Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit all required tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax laws (including VAT, CIT, WHT, NBP, and statistical reports, among others))
  • Oversee and manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
  • Cooperation with tax advisers in the preparation of local transfer pricing documentation
  • High level checking of final Payroll prepared by HR to ensure four eye principles
  • Responsibilities for monthly and yearly closure of books of accounts as per Group calendar and deadlines
  • Collaborations with Finance Shares Service Centre in India, regular dialogue, finding opportunities improvement, managing the performance of relevant teams through feedback and analysis if processes
  • Collaborations and regular interaction with key functions in Ramboll – Group Treasury, Group Tax, transformation team, Group Audit etc,
  • Ensuring compliance to internal Group policies relating to finance functions
  • Ensuring the successful implementation of new software or tools in compliance with local regulations

Business Finance

  • Perform financial planning and track continued development of Budget, Financial forecasting and Operating plan in the assigned market
  • Drive and review the financial performance of business unit and provide quality assurance of the internal monthly reporting
  • Review and control overall financial performance of projects, project profitability and order book in the business
  • Understand project risk & opportunities, participate in project reviews and follow-up on WIP/AR,
  • Monitoring of Working capital and take initiatives for reduction of working capital days
  • Provide support in implementing the global business finance initiatives in local country

Your new team

Key member of the Global Finance team, providing valuable inputs, participating in meetings and discussions, and supporting colleagues during workload fluctuations, participate in global meetings and discussion forums, participating in global finance projects to represent Poland.

These include:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or other relevant certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance roles
  • Strong knowledge of Polish and international regulations and standards.
  • Experience of working in Finance team with global/regional responsibilities
  • Experience of collaboration with Shared Service centres in previous roles
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with English and Polish at least on B2/C1 level.
  • Accountability and client focused mindset with capability to work effectively in dynamic environment and to demonstrate initiative
  • Experience in software implementation is a plus

  • Hybrid work model: 2 days working from the office per week, the remaining time working from home.
  • Employment under an employment contract, initially for a 3-month probation period. Upon successful completion of this period, the employment will be extended to an indefinite term.
