Finance Intern

Tarkett has an exciting opening for a Finance Intern in Atlanta, Georgia. Reporting to the Division FP&A Lead, the Financial Analyst will work closely with all functional areas of the business working to provide reporting, analysis and insights aimed at continually improving the organizations performance.

Scope: 3 Business Units, yearly sales ~$1.0b

Main tasks:

Reporting

• Organizing closing planning activities
• Assist with ensuring Day 1 consolidation and preparing related Division bridge
• Preparing Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports, and Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
• Assist with creation and maintenance of financial reports and Business Unit specific P&Ls
• Work along with supervisor to prepare month internal review decks for Steering Committee meetings and Monthly Business Review decks
• Supporting and corresponding with the Group Controlling with in-depth analysis
• Monitoring and analyzing Capital Expenditure

Forecasting & Budgeting:  

• Coordinate Monthly and Yearly Rolling Forecast
• Support in budget process and preparing BU budget decks
• Completion of ad-hoc requests and projects as required

Requirements:

• Recent degree in Finance or Accounting disciplines
• Undergraduate or graduate student in final year of schooling
• First experience in FP&A
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in Excel, PowerBI preferred
• Structured, organized and rigorous
• Effective written and verbal communication
