About The Role:
The incumbent in role is responsible for controlling finance & accounting, leading AR & AP processes with our shared service and ensuring control and compliances for taxation and other commercial laws.
To be successful in this role you need to bring an extended knowledge in finance & accounting, tax and sectorial compliances with the necessary accuracy & structural thinking to streamline the process. A result driven attitude with an ambitious vision and personal goal setting will bring your own characteristic goals in this function.
Audit, Control & Compliance
- Lead the sign off of Indian Statutory, Internal, tax and any other audit
- Plan effective auditing processes
- Audit financial statements and assess accounts for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Inspect internal systems and controls
- Assess risk management tactics
- Recommend redesigning of process in line with changing business needs wherever necessary
- Should supervise all aspects of business, accounting function and compliance
- Maintaining up-to-date ledgers, reconcile balances. Responsible for monthly balance sheet schedules including GL to Sub-GL reconciliation with ageing etc.
- Should have ability to handle queries from auditors
- Overall responsible for reviewing day-to-day accounting operations in respect of Account Payable, Revenue Accounting, Vendor Reconciliation. GST, TDS, Fixed Assets, etc. - Complete bookkeeping will be supervised by the person with accuracy and completeness.
Financial Reporting & Month end Reporting
- Ensure Month end closings as per applicable laws and accounting standards
- Help the management with providing useful MIS/insights for Balance sheet, P&L and other financial key indicators
- Resolve TB Difference
- Review TB & understand exceptional items
- Helping management in making timely and balance decisions, based on available information.
- Should anticipate business needs and work in a collaborative way with stakeholders.
Taxation
- Support tax team in all tax compliance like GST , Direct tax etc.
- Ensure proper accounting for per tax laws
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
- Leading AP & AP process with DBS
- Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Processing flow.
- Proper knowledge of local direct and indirect taxation laws
- Support the taxation team in providing the data for different assessments from time to time.
- Ensuring proper Reconciliations
Companies Law
- Support Company Secretary in looking after the overall activities related to Compliances of Company and Forex Law and various rules and regulation thereunder
- Ensure correct Reporting of financials numbers considering company law aspect,
About You:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 8 to 10 years’ experience
- Good understanding of, interest in, and aptitude for financial accounting, business, and financial analysis, GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, etc.
- Ability to partner with commercial and other support functions to drive business outcomes
- Team management capabilities.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, business awareness, and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality work with tight timelines
