The Finance Account Manager is a key liaison for all lines of business including direct responsibility for Networks, Theatrical, Home Entertainment, Distribution, Sublicensing and third-party representations. The Finance Account Manager is responsible for managing the strategic, financial, commercial and sales support for all lines of business. The Finance Account Manager will oversee billing, collections, financial analysis, support of all deals, as well as prioritization of continuous process improvement. The Finance Account Manager will serve as the point person between local clients, FP&A staff, and OTC GFO ensuring revenue and cash flow objectives are met, as well as ensuring all corporate policies and deadlines are adhered to.
The Finance Account Manager reports to the Director, LATAM Regional OTC but has direct responsibility for providing service to the heads of the SPT Latin America Networks, Theatrical, Home Entertainment, and Home Office OTC GFO Management. The Finance Account Manager must partner with sales on the management of chargebacks, forecasting, trade spend analysis, and analytical insights on deal terms. This role must support Sales with improved forecasting, revenue growth, analysis of complex billing structures, and account action plans. The Finance Account Manager will ensure BPO providing support to the territory meets the expected results on the OTC tasks assigned.
Strong knowledge of Brazilian tax and statutory requirements are critical. Working closely with their Commercial and Finance stakeholders, the Finance Account Manager must ensure that Management receives timely recommendations and analysis to make the best decisions for SPE in Brazil. Also, value-added support is key as ongoing collaboration with all lines of business and third-party partners is required. The direct oversight of deals from negotiation through the entire life cycle concluding with the collections are an integral part of this role.
This resource will need to embrace change to support the performance and value of our company. They must also possess effective upward management communication, escalating issues and risks to the Director, LATAM Regional OTC via regular meetings.
Core Responsabilities
Financial Operations / Sales Support
- Review and approval of deal terms for all contracts including all lines of business.
- Meticulous sales analysis from a finance perspective for all agencies qualifying for volume bonus incentives.Investments must be regularly tracked to report on actuals vs the forecasted spend on a timely basis.
- Providing support and recommendations to sales staff on closing deals with complex billing structures including tax and inflation implications.
- Managing third party representations including billing and collection efforts as well as generating separate reporting on key performance metrics.
- Working with sales and sales planning teams on capturing complex contracts correctly within the Landmark, RPM, and SAP systems.
- Ensure contractual and commercial conditions are followed, including marketing costs and fees are properly charged for Theatrical and Sublicensing.
- Preparing aging reports per account executive, bad debt analysis, top 6 agency investments, and other miscellaneous reports as needed.
Strategic Collections and Credit Management
- Working with the business on analysis of complex collections, settlement of disputes, and strategies to resolve delinquent accounts including escalation for legal settlement.
- Ensuring Boleto electronic tickets are issued in SAP and DEX and approved at the Bank platform, so they are sent to clients along with invoices.
- Monitoring collections efforts and ensuring accountability, continuous process improvement, and managing optimal cash flow levels.
- Working with the business on decisions to penalize customers on incentives due, escalating past due clients and providing support for potential bad debt.
- Working closely with the planners as well as traffic to ensure the amounts to be invoiced coincide with the purchase orders
Oversight and Management of Third-Party Representations
- Ensuring timely and accurate billing is managed for all third-party representatives and that information is provided in a timely manner including performance indicators.
- Focusing on improved cash flows that adhere to DSO metrics and goals as dictated by partners.
- Maintaining frequent interaction with advertising agencies and third-party rep staff to streamline collections and resolve issues and queries.
Cash Flow Analysis
- Supporting the Global OTC and sales teams with insightful cash cycle and DSO analysis.
- Analyzing month-end actual cash receipt variances to forecast and budget. Supporting cash forecasting models and taking ownership on setting regional standards.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Economics
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups), MS Office,
Experience in Credit Management, Collections, and/or Sales Support.
Proficiency in English and Portuguese oral and written. Spanish is desirable.
SAP, RPM, Business Objects, Landmark
Experience working in an international organization and in the entertainment sector and used to working with a matrix organizations
