A bit about your role
As the Field Safety and Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting front-line safety assurance activities and physical quality inspections on nbn workers, Delivery Partners and infrastructure. Your role will ensure compliance with all quality requirements taking necessary actions to rectify any non-compliance with nbn standards. Additionally, you will provide input and recommendations to enhance safe working practices and quality processes.
In this role you will predominantly undertake both pre and post compliance activities across the full range of field tasks across our technologies which include: FTTP (Fibre to the Premise), FTTN (Fibre to the Node), FTTB (Fibre to the Building), FTTC (Fibre to the Curb), HFC (Hybrid Fibre Coaxial), FW (Fixed Wireless) and SAT (Satellite).
This role is based in Townsville however occasional travel will be required as necessary to meet business demands. You will be provided with a company vehicle, laptop, tools, uniform and phone (or device allowance).
A bit about you
As the successful candidate, you will boast experience in a Civil or Telecommunications Field Operations environment with an understanding of telecommunications constructions and/or activation's methodologies and practices. Additionally, you will also be knowledgeable in copper and fibre technology and how they are installed.
Your strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to guide and motivate team members, as well as your passion for building solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders will also see you succeed in this role. You are able to collaborate effectively with other safety and quality team members to maintain a consistent and aligned approach. Additionally, you are adept at engaging with customers and community representatives to address any quality-related concerns.
