Overview:
We are seeking a talented Snowflake Data Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in building new data products within our enterprise data warehouse.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build Data Pipelines to ingest and transform data in Snowflake in public cloud like Azure/AWS/GCP
- Develop and maintain ELT/ETL processes to move data from various sources to the enterprise data warehouse.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate data migration.
- Utilize internal Python frameworks to support ETL processes.
- Manage data scheduling using CA Automic.
- Operate and maintain ETL processes on Linux servers.
- DevOps experience on setting up CI/CD pipelines for project in GIT, Experience with Artifactory like JFrogg
- Monitor, diagnose and address any issues or failures with jobs in production.

Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of an Associate’s degree and 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ systems analysis/application development experience
Hands on experience with Snowflake
Experience with Azure/AWS/GCP
Proven experience in ETL development and data migration
Proficiency in Python with experience in using internal frameworks
Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies
Education and Experience Preferred:
Experience with scheduling tool like CA Automic/Control-M or similar
Experience with bash or shell scripting

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $102,939.06 - $171,565.10 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
