Technical Enterprise Architect

Working directly with our Senior IT Manager of Enterprise Architecture, you'll have the unique opportunity to influence technology decisions that impact operations across 70+ countries. Our EA group isn't isolated in an ivory tower - we're deeply embedded with solution architects, IT leaders, and business stakeholders, ensuring our technology choices drive real business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape PPG's technical future by designing cloud-native reference architectures and creating architectural patterns that will guide our global technology initiatives
- Support the evolution of our innovative AWS-based EA platform that connects and streamlines our enterprise architecture tools
- Build bridges between technology and business by communicating complex architectural concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Define and champion technical standards that balance innovation with enterprise stability
- Mentor solution architects and provide strategic guidance on mission-critical projects
- Drive our cloud transformation initiatives, helping modernize legacy systems and implement cutting-edge solutions
What you'll bring:
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, VPC, and Bedrock
- Strong development background with Python, PostgreSQL, and modern API design
- Proven experience with cloud-native architectures, including microservices, containers, and serverless solutions
- Experience with enterprise architecture tools (LeanIX experience is a plus)
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years in technical architecture or similar roles
- Most importantly: A passion for transforming traditional enterprises through technology innovation
