Enterprise Architect – Telecommunications
Job Description
The Enterprise Architect is a customer-facing technology expert, responsible for engaging with named telecom clients to define their enterprise and application architecture roadmaps. This role is focused on client engagement ensuring that Altron is positioned as a trusted strategic partner in their digital transformation journey.
By collaborating with client Enterprise and Application Architecture teams, the EA will influence strategic technology decisions and ensure that Altron’s solutions align with key industry transformation areas, including cloud-native applications, OSS/BSS modernization and AI.
The role plays a critical part in strengthening Altron’s positioning within the telecom sector, ensuring that the company is best placed to win high-value, cross-domain projects as Telcos modernize their IT and network ecosystems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Customer Engagement & Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to named telecommunications clients, engaging with their Enterprise and Application Architecture teams to shape IT and network transformation roadmaps

Enterprise & Application Architecture Roadmap Development: Support clients in defining their future-state architecture, focusing on cloud-native applications, OSS/BSS transformation, and AI-driven digital transformations

Strategic Positioning: Ensure Altron is embedded early in the client’s strategic planning cycles, positioning Altron as a key enabler of their digital transformation and network evolution strategies

Solution Alignment: Work closely with Key Account Managers and Solution Architects to align Altron’s offerings with Telco industry architecture frameworks and client transformation roadmaps

Industry & Market Awareness: Stay ahead of emerging trends in telecommunications, including cloud-native applications, edge computing, AI and regulatory shifts

Application & Cloud Architecture: Drive discussions on modernizing legacy systems, containerization, microservices adoption, and API-driven architectures, ensuring seamless integration across the telecom ecosystem

Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Represent Altron at executive roundtables, Telco industry forums, and standards committees, enhancing credibility and influencing technology roadmaps

Collaboration & Influence: Work cross-functionally with internal GTM, application development, and infrastructure teams to ensure Altron’s offerings align with Telco IT and network transformation priorities

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Professional Qualifications:
-
Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF) are advantageous
Other requirements:
-
At least 8 years of experience in the Telecommunications sector

At least 4 years of experience in enterprise architecture or a related role

Proven expertise in developing and aligning complex, multi-business unit solutions

Good written and verbal communications skills

A deep understanding of the industry and market dynamics
