Why is this role important?
This position is vital for leading a team of SRE Engineers in a specific product area, enhancing team skills through mentorship, coaching, and goal setting, while also ensuring a constructive work environment. In this role, you will collaborate with other engineering leaders to lead initiatives across different areas and promote knowledge sharing, ensuring high engineering standards with assistance from Tech Leads, and creating tailored educational and learning pathways.
The role also emphasizes driving the 5C Culture (Caring, Curious, Collaborative, Courageous, and Customer Success Driven) in and across all teams, encouraging team positivity and accountability, and handling operational responsibilities such as duty rosters and people-related processes. Additionally, the role requires actively participating in improving team culture based on survey findings and leading reward and recognition behaviors. This position is essential for the team, a positive culture, and ensuring high standards of engineering. It requires strong managerial experience, emotional intelligence, a collaborative mindset, effective communication skills, and an understanding of agile methodologies, along with multi-cultural awareness and appreciation for working in a diverse, international organization.
What you will be responsible for:
- Leading and overseeing a team of SRE Engineers within a specific product area.
- Overseeing team development through mentorship, coaching, and goal-setting.
- Creating a healthy working environment for your teams.
- Collaborating with other engineering leaders to drive cross-area initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Promoting engineering proficiency within your area by working with Tech Leads.
- Developing and implementing learning and education paths for our people.
- Ensuring that the people undertake the learning paths best designed for them.
- Supporting the promotion of the 5 C Culture of Simcorp (Inclusive, Curious, Collaborative, Brave, and Customer Success Driven) within all teams.
- Assist the POs in encouraging and supporting team positivity and a sense of collective accountability.
- Tasked with creating and overseeing the duty rosters.
- Responsible for managing the People and Culture processes related to people management, such as Real Talks, Workday processes, evaluations etc.
- Contribute to the advancement of the team’s culture shaped by the feedback and outcomes of various surveys and promoting proactive measures.
- Engage in and lead reward and recognition behaviors.
What we value:
