We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join Tatari’s Measurement pillar, driving the design, development, and deployment of foundational data services, integrations, and product features that empower Tatari customers and teams. In this role, you will guide a cross-cutting engineering team in delivering high-impact, product-facing features across the stack—ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. You will play a key role in influencing technical strategy and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will also be responsible for building and growing a healthy, high performing team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Partnership with Product, Data Science, and Platform teams will be crucial in this role making effective cross functional collaboration key.

The impact you will have:

  • Technical leadership. Own the technical output of 1 of 3 measurement product teams. Ensure high technical standards by instituting processes (architecture reviews, testing) and culture (engineering excellence). Review and drive the long-term technical direction of Tatari’s measurement products. The measurement teams are responsible for building highly scalable data architecture, reliable product features, so a strong technical acumen is needed to be successful in this role.
  • Management. Directly manage diverse (data, backend, frontend) engineers. Provide feedback and guide promotions and leveling process.
  • Planning. Work to the scope and plan key deliverables. Work with engineering managers and ICs to ensure project planning of key initiatives.
  • Cross-functional execution. Coordinate within the organization alongside PM, marketing, support, and sales to ensure the delivery of key initiatives. Influence product strategy alongside the PM team.
  • Hiring. Recruit and hire strong data and backend engineers in a competitive hiring climate.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience managing and coaching 3+ direct reports for growth and success in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to work towards a common goal (Product Management, Data Science, Measurement, and Client Services)
  • Experience managing internal and external partnerships
  • Experience delivering product-facing features that cut across the stack - frontend, backend, and infrastructure while ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability
  • Solid understanding of a modern data stack (Kafka, Spark, Airflow, lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, DBT, etc.) and cloud data warehouses such as RedShift and Snowflake
  • Solid understanding of data observability patterns, experience in defining and measuring Data SLAs
  • Experience devising efficient processes that increase velocity and quality
  • Managed teams that build and operate high-volume distributed systems, data platforms, and data SLAs
  • Success hiring and developing high-caliber talent
