Job Description
The UX designer is responsible for a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to design user interfaces for In-Vehicle Infotainment system, defining their form, behavior, content and their realization in design tools. A Designer with 7-10 Years of experience who can lead a team of young and passionate designers (If needed).
Mandatory Skills:
Experience in Industrial, Automotive, Aerospace, Healthcare etc.
A detailed portfolio to showcase previous work samples.
Strong knowledge of interaction design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to software applications or consumer electronics products.
Familiarity with user centered research methods like usability testing, contextual inquiry, and field interviews.
Proficiency with design and prototyping using various tools.
Excellent knowledge of standard graphic design software tools. (e.g. Figma, XD,Photoshop, Illustrator etc).
A passion for creating products that resonate emotionally with people.
Strong communications (written and verbal), and problem solving skills. Must be able to work in a team and independently.
Ability to take critiques with a positive attitude.
Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Working knowledge of 3D tools – Blender/Unreal/Unity/Maya.
Key responsibilities include:
Participates actively in user research and usability testing activities in collaboration with the user research team.
Conduct user requirements analysis, task analysis, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, and interaction design.
Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.
Define the workflow and highlight the true nature of the underlying problems, and propose creative solutions, which can be validated by end users.
Design of screen layouts, typographic expression, icons and other basic UI graphical resources elements to support identification of actions, objects, status information and UI properties.
Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
Produce user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications
Working closely with product managers, developers, stakeholders, and other teams to align design decisions with business goals and technical constraints.
Design concepts in 3D space for automotive or similar environment.
Lead a design team if needed. Desirable Skills:
Ability to rapidly sketch/prototype ideas in various digital media
Multi-tasking in projects with good knowledge of time-management
Strong team orientation
Knowledge of motion graphics tools for idea conceptualizations
Qualifications
Certificate, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field
