General Purpose of Job:
The NICU Discharge Planner oversees a specific area of service and supports the day-to-day operation of Driscoll Children’s Hospital vision of excellent and integrated patient care delivery; engenders and participates in collaborative decision-making; ensures compliance with establish standards; and contributes to creating an environment that fosters patient advocacy and competence.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate from and accredited school as appropriate.
- Registration and current licensure in the State of Texas as appropriate.
- BSN required; MSN preferred
- Minimum 5 years NICU experience
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Certification in area of specialty required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Licensed in State of Texas as an RN
- NRP Certified
- Certification required
