Job Summary:

The Director, Total Rewards will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s comprehensive total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, and work-life initiatives. This role ensures that the organization’s total rewards offerings are competitive, cost appropriate, align with Klicks values, and support employee engagement and retention. 

Key Responsibility: Compensation Strategy & Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage the company’s compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and bonuses.
  • Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure compensation is competitive and aligned with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with People Practices, finance and leadership to design compensation strategies that support talent attraction, retention, and motivation.
  • Support Klick’s Global expansion through the research, design and implementation of competitive salary bands and benefits offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with global, local, state, and federal regulations regarding compensation.
  • Oversight of Pay transparency legislation and application 

Key Responsibility: Benefits Design and Administration (Most critical)

  • Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, wellness initiatives, and other company-sponsored benefits across the U.S., Canada, and globally.
  • Conduct an annual competitive benefits analysis against key competitors in the market.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of benefits offerings and recommend changes to improve employee satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Klick’s values.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors and manage relationships with external providers to ensure high service levels and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding employee benefits.
  • Act as a point of escalation for sensitive and unique employee matters related to benefits offerings and coverage.
  • Ensure internal benefit information is kept up to date and accurate.
  • Negotiate with brokers and/or other benefit providers.
  • Review and recommend benefit changes and enhancements through a DEI lens to support the needs of a diverse workforce.

Key Responsibility: Employee Wellness & Work-Life Balance Initiatives

  • Analyze disability program usage to identify trends and proactive preventative measures to promote employee well-being and reduce claims.
  • Develop and promote wellness programs that support physical, emotional, and financial well-being.
  • Monitor the impact of wellness and work-life initiatives on employee morale and productivity.

Key Responsibility: Analytics, Reporting, and Compliance

  • Analyze data and trends related to compensation, benefits, and employee satisfaction to provide actionable insights to People Practices and Finance leadership.
  • Prepare and present reports on the effectiveness of total rewards programs to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure total rewards programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate records related to compensation, benefits, and other rewards programs for audit purposes.
  • Monitor competitor benefits offerings and make recommendations to remain competitive.

Key Responsibility: Employee Communication & Education

  • Design and implement communication strategies to educate employees about total rewards programs.
  • Ensure employees fully understand the value of their compensation, benefits, and rewards packages.
  • Conduct employee surveys and focus groups to assess the effectiveness of the total rewards strategy and identify areas for improvement.
