A day in the life
Join a leading multinational industrial warehouse REIT as we continue expanding our Global Tax Team. With a global presence and a dynamic portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled Director, Tax to be an impactful contributor in our tax function. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with exposure to a broad range of tax disciplines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency across federal, state, and international jurisdictions, including structuring and transactional support.
- Develop and maintain tax models, forecasts, and budgeting strategies to support business planning and decision-making.
- Manage taxable income projections and REIT testing to ensure compliance with REIT qualification requirements.
- Oversee tax compliance, including preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings.
- Manage state and local tax strategy, including nexus analysis and compliance with evolving regulations.
- Drive entity simplification efforts to enhance operational efficiency and reduce tax exposure.
- Oversee tax provision calculations, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 and effective tax rate management.
- Manage international tax matters, including cross-border structuring, reporting requirements, and assessing the impact of OECD Pillar Two developments.
- Partner with internal finance, legal, and business teams to support tax-related aspects of our business activities.
- Monitor Federal and State tax law changes and assess potential impacts on the company.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant tax experience, in public accounting (Big 4 or large firm preferred) or mix of public and in-house corporate tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of REIT tax regulations, federal and state tax compliance, and ASC 740.
- Experience with tax modeling, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment and collaborate across multiple teams.
Hiring Salary Range of: $164,000 - $226,000. Salary and whole compensation package (bonus target & LTI (Long Term Incentive) to be determined by the candidate’s location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
