Summary: The Director, Pricing Strategy and Operations will oversee pricing processes, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with Onbe’s strategic goals. With a strong focus on pricing strategy, operational excellence, and scalability, the Director will drive innovation, streamline workflows, and create a culture of accountability while delivering high-impact results.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Onbe’s pricing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, market trends, and customer value propositions. 
  • Craft new and innovative pricing models in the payout space and drive their adoption with clients and sales teams who are used to traditional models. This role involves using persuasive skills and addressing objections to influence the perspectives of key collaborators. 
  • Coordinate and develop the pricing team, encouraging a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement, including coaching, mentorship, and performance management. 
  • Own pricing governance, process improvements, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. 
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance to improve pricing models, enhance deal structures, and increase profitability. 
  • Provide strategic oversight and operational support on complex pricing opportunities, ensuring data-driven decision-making and risk mitigation. 
  • Monitor key pricing performance metrics, identify trends and bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvements to enhance pricing effectiveness. 
  • Report on key projects, challenges, and progress against targets, providing actionable insights and securing cross-functional buy-in. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Lead team for 4+ years, expert in automation, strategic pricing, and sophisticated deal management. 
  • Strong business insight to strategically address function needs and performance standards. 
  • Proven track record to autonomously perform and prioritize duties, with a significant focus on strategy and project management. 
  • Recognized expertise in pricing, with the ability to influence cross-functional strategy and lead high-impact initiatives. 
  • Strong leadership, project management, and collaboration skills, with the capacity to manage multiple complex competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates a high level of executive presence and emotional intelligence in all interactions. 

The base salary range for this position is budgeted for $157,680 to $183,960 with eligibility for an annual bonus. This position is targeted to be based in one of our Hub locations (Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas).
