Thus, we seek a remote, US-based Director of People & Culture to join our global People & Culture team.

The Director of People & Culture is both a strategic and hands-on operational role. You will drive all People operations and advocacy aspects aligned with Testlio’s purpose, vision, and values. Your role is to ensure compliant employment relations practices, facilitate scalable People systems, and support company-wide initiatives. You will act as a key People partner, working closely with team members at all levels to maintain a positive and empowering work culture, elevate the experience for all TestLions, and support the company's strategic growth. This position requires a highly motivated, passionate people professional with a client-serving mindset and excellent organizational and communication skills.

What would your day look like? 

  • People Operations Leadership: Lead and manage a global team of People professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • People Partnering & Advocacy: Be the key advocate for our people, offering ongoing support and coaching. Build and sustain strong relationships across all levels of the organization to promote a positive and inclusive culture through 1:1’s, office hours, team meetings, and other proactive outreach.
  • People Policies & Documentation: Own the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of People policies, procedures, and documentation. Ensure that they are legally compliant, globally applicable, and reflect our company values.
  • People Experience: Design and execute strategies aimed at improving engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction. Lead initiatives that focus on the holistic experience, from onboarding to offboarding, emphasizing a positive, inclusive, and supportive remote work culture aligned with Testlio’s purpose & vision.
  • Talent Management: Oversee and enhance our Experience Review program, including goal setting, feedback processes, and learning and career development opportunities. Work with leaders to ensure effective talent management and development across the company.
  • People Analytics & Reporting: Utilize metrics to inform decisions and monitor trends related to engagement, retention, and performance. Provide actionable insights to leadership to inform strategic decisions.
  • Global Workforce Strategy: Adapt People processes to ensure consistency across our global workforce while considering different regions' nuances and legal requirements.
  • Change Management & Growth Support: Support the organization through change, ensuring excellence in People processes and adaptability and scalability in a growing, evolving environment.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience: 7+ years of HR/People experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing HR/People professionals in a global and fully remote environment. Experience with client-centric service companies (managed services such as Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, etc.) is critical.
  • Expertise in People Operations: Deep knowledge of People functions, including people relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
  • Strong Policy Development & Documentation Skills: Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining policies and documentation globally.
  • Employee Advocacy & Partnering: Proven track record of being a trusted partner and advocate for people, focusing on experience, engagement, and conflict resolution.
  • Global HR Knowledge: Understanding of international HR practices, regulations, and labor laws, and the ability to adapt policies to different cultural contexts.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a remote team. Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex People concepts to diverse audiences.
  • High Emotional Intelligence: The ability to build trusting relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels and to communicate empathetically to resolve conflict and promote an inclusive, respectful, values-driven culture.
  • Tech-Savvy: Highly skilled in using HR/People software and systems to manage people operations processes and analyze People data.
