We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director, Financial Operations to lead and manage the global accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and payroll functions within our organisation. This finance leadership role will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all payroll, billing, and payment operations. The Director will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and implement best practices to optimise financial operations at a global scale in a fast growth company that truly embraces putting culture at the forefront of everything we do.

You will
- Strategy and leadership
- Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across the AR, AP, Treasury and Payroll functions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence.
- Design and implement global financial operations strategies and key performance indicators that align with organisational goals and financial objectives.
- Drive process improvements, implement automation, and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities, deliver value-add insights, mitigate risk and support an agile culture in a constantly pivoting environment.
- Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial operations, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
- Payroll
- Lead and oversee the global payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees in our current six jurisdictions.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and global payroll standards, coordinating with external vendors and external and internal partners when necessary, identifying and implementing areas for stronger internal process and controls.
- Develop and implement payroll strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, including integration with systems.
- Accounts receivable
- Lead and oversee the global AR function, ensuring the timely and accurate invoicing, collection, and reconciliation of outstanding receivables.
- Develop and implement credit policies, collection strategies, and dispute resolution processes to optimise cash flow and reduce days sales outstanding).
- Ensure consistent and accurate reporting of AR metrics, including aging reports and bad debt provisions.
- Accounts payable
- Lead and oversee the global AP function, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for managing vendor relationships, payment terms, and dispute resolution.
- Oversee cash flow management related to AP, including forecasting and scheduling payments to optimise working capital.
You have
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in financial operations, with at least 5 years in a finance leadership role overseeing payroll, AR, and AP.
- Proven experience strategically driving scale and transactional efficiencies through end-to-end ownership and understanding, being a respected decision maker and collaborator.
- Strong understanding of global payroll systems, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, as well as international compliance and tax regulations.
- Knowledge of international banking and payment processes.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems (NetSuite and Salesforce a plus).
- Strategic leadership & coaching mentality. You are a proven leader who loves inspiring and developing financial professionals. You know how to lead through change and are motivated by the challenge of a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You have a high degree of financial, analytical and process leadership and business acumen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You are able to work effectively across organisational and functional boundaries. You have a collaborative mindset.
- Proactivity and initiative. You are capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing and fluid organisation. You are highly organised and skilled at creating structure in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous.
- Deep curiosity and complex problem-solving skills. You are innovative with the ability to create differentiated analysis based on the situation. You are able to clearly and simply present key takeaways and make recommendations.
- Results focus. Strong results orientation and accountability with the ability to solve problems and execute in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
