About the Job:
We’re looking for an experienced Director of Engineering (m/f/d) to join one of our clients and lead its Engineering strategies. In your day to day work, you’ll focus on streamlining processes, implementing AI for improved efficiency, and ensuring robust release and QA procedures while supporting agile methodologies with our two dedicated pods. You’ll work on solving some of the toughest technology, data, and scale challenges to drive the new standard in flexible workspace hospitality for hundreds of millions of professionals worldwide. Our portfolio company is building the global sales, marketing and distribution system for the flexible workspace industry, already powering thousands of specialists from giants like WeWork to commercial real estate professionals.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead and unify engineering teams distributed across 4 countries.
- Define and execute the technical roadmap while scaling robust systems.
- Drive API enhancements to boost integration and system connectivity.
- Implement continuous improvements and efficiency strategies including AI integrations.
- Oversee a solid release and QA process to ensure high quality software delivery.
- Manage and support agile practices within our two specialised pods.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on strategic technology initiatives.
Your profile:
- Extensive experience as a Head of Engineering or in a similar leadership role.
- Solid background in embedded systems and API development.
- Proven track record of managing distributed teams across multiple countries.
- Strong strategic mindset paired with excellent people management and mentorship skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree or related professional experience in Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and a strong focus on release quality and efficiency improvements.
- Ability to inspire and unify teams to achieve common goals.
