Résumé du travail:

Le Directeur D'entrepôt dirige et coordonne les activités liées à l'achat de produits destinés à la vente et à la distribution.

Responsabilités:

  • Examine les commandes clients en cours, les commandes d'achat en cours, les réclamations des fournisseurs en cours et les transferts en cours.

  • Examine les procédures d'entrepôt et s'assure que les procédures de sécurité appropriées sont suivies.

  • Consulte les acheteurs et/ou les vendeurs régionaux pour obtenir des informations sur les produits ou les services, telles que le prix, la disponibilité et le calendrier de livraison.

  • Gérer les stocks, contrôler les ruptures de stock et réduire les stocks excessifs.

  • Effectue des comptages cycliques pour éviter la diminution des stocks.

  • Gère les dépenses de transport et approuve les factures de transport pour paiement.

  • Gère les comptes payables en temps opportun.

  • Supervise l'acheminement, le chargement et la préparation des commandes pour l'expédition et la livraison conformément aux instructions des clients.

  • Forme les nouveaux employés aux procédures d'entreposage et de distribution.

  • Discute des biens ou services défectueux ou inacceptables avec le personnel d'inspection ou de contrôle de la qualité, les utilisateurs, les vendeurs et autres afin de déterminer la source du problème et de prendre des mesures correctives.

  • Aide le personnel de vente à atteindre les objectifs de vente.

  • D'autres tâches non essentielles peuvent être assignées.

Exigences :

  • Diplôme universitaire de premier cycle de préférence.

  • 3 à 5 ans d'expérience opérationnelle dans la distribution industrielle ou dans un entrepôt.

  • Responsabilité des opérations pour une installation de type entrepôt de distribution de 5 à 10 millions de dollars.

  • Expérience dans la gestion d'une équipe de plus de 5 employés.

  • Compétences informatiques, notamment avec les logiciels MS Office et de gestion des stocks.

  • Solides compétences en matière de communication, tant écrite qu'orale.

  • Connaissance des lignes de produits industriels tels que les équipements de piscine et de spa, les produits chimiques, les matériaux de construction, les fournitures de plomberie, les fournitures électriques, les produits de PVC ou des biens industriels similaires.

  • Il faut être âgé de 18 ans ou plus pour postuler.

What to Expect?

The Operations Manager directs and coordinates activities involved with procuring products for sales and distribution.

On a daily basis our Warehouse Manager​:

  • Hires, trains, directs and manages all warehouse staff, which may include warehouse associates, drivers or other positions based in the warehouse.

  • Reviews open sales orders, open purchase orders, open vendor claims, and open transfers.

  • Reviews warehouse procedures and ensures proper warehouse safety procedures are followed.

  • Consults with regional buyers and/or vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

  • Manages inventory, controls stock outs and reduces excessive inventory.

  • Performs cycle counts to prevent inventory shrink.

  • Manages freight expense and approves invoices/freight bills for payment.

  • Manages Accounts Payable discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Supervises the proper routing, loading and preparing of orders for shipment and delivery in accordance with customer instructions.

  • Trains new employees on warehouse and distribution procedures.

  • Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

  • Supports sales staff in meeting sales objectives.

  • Other non-essential job duties may be assigned.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • 3-5 years of operations experience in industrial distribution or warehouse environment.

  • Operations responsibility for $5-10 Million wholesale warehouse type facility.

  • Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.

  • Computer skills including MS Office and Inventory Management software.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Knowledge of industrial product lines such as pool and spa equipment, chemicals, construction materials, plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, HVAC supplies, auto parts, irrigation supplies, or similar industrial tangible goods helpful.

  • To be 18 years of age or older to apply.
