OVERVIEW

Alo Designer for Accessories is an incredible opportunity in a growing category. This role is vital to the team and brand. This person is passionate, detail oriented, a self-starter, and a forward-thinker. It's important that this person thrives in a fast-paced environment and can multi-task. A positive attitude is key! As an Accessories Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing a wide range of fashion accessories. Your role will involve collaborating with other designers, product developers, and marketing teams to create innovative and on-trend products that align with the brand’s vision and target market.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Support Accessories Design Director and Executive Leadership on brining the potential of Alo Accessories to life through the following:

  • Ideation & Trend Research – deep dive research online and in-person market research of current and future trends & competitive research.
  • Create – create original designs for accessories, including sketches, color palettes, and materials. Utilize both hand-drawing and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Development – launch, develop, track materials & trims
  • PLM/BOM – complete PLM/BOMs with accuracy
  • Fittings – attend fitting and take detailed notes to ensure fit, construction, and materials, accuracy in each stage of prototype
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and production, to ensure the designs align with brand strategy and business goals.
  • Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders, including management and buyers. Clearly communicate the inspiration and functionality behind each design.
  • Cost Management: Keep track of production costs and ensure designs fit within budget constraints without compromising quality and style.
  • Brand Development: Contribute to the overall brand identity through your designs, ensuring consistency across all accessory collections.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field experience
  • Proven experience in accessories design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work and design aesthetic.
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
  • Strong understanding of textiles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent visual and artistic skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of market trends and consumer behavior in the fashion industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary range for this position is $110-120K per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.

We have a gong. And we use it. Our stores are designed to be places to commune—people and ideas mingle over organic juice, kombucha and coffee. And the airy yoga studio and roof deck at our Beverly Hills flagship store is where it’s really happening. There’s even a super-sized cosmic mural on one wall—come by for some astral travel (or just to take an Instagram pic).
