POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a member of the ISS STOXX Data Privacy Team, which operates within the ISS STOXX Legal and Compliance function, the Data Privacy Program Manager will leverage deep experience in data privacy program development and implementation, strong knowledge of GDPR and other relevant data privacy laws, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills to help build and implement the ISS STOXX global privacy program.
The Data Privacy Program Manager will support the ongoing development and implementation of ISS STOXX’s data privacy policies and practices on a global basis. You will also monitor data privacy legal developments in Europe, North America, and Asia and provide guidance on the implications of such developments for ISS STOXX's business and operations.
The Data Privacy Program Manager will be based in our Prague office which is located in the lively Karlin area and has approximately 85 employees. You will report to the ISS STOXX Chief Privacy Officer who is based in Rockville, MD USA.
We offer a hybrid work schedule of three days in office and two days work from home.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities for this position will include the following:

Support development and operation of all facets of an enterprise-wide, global data privacy program, including preparing and updating privacy policies, notices, statements, procedures, and practices.

Provide support for various data privacy compliance activities including record of processing activities (RoPA), data subject requests, data privacy risk assessments, and compliance training.

Monitor data privacy legal developments in Europe, North America, and Asia and analyze the impact of such developments on ISS STOXX’s business and operations including related compliance counseling.

Assist with the coordination of internal and external audits.

Review and negotiate data privacy-related terms and conditions in complex commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and other third parties.
Requirements:

Master’s degree, preferably in law.

At least four years of data privacy compliance experience, preferably as an attorney at an international law firm, as a data privacy counsel or compliance professional at a multinational corporation, or as a data privacy consultant serving multinational clients.

Ability to prepare and update data privacy policies, notices, and assessments.

Ability to respond to data subject requests and privacy-related due diligence questionnaires.

Ability to review and draft data privacy-related terms and conditions in support of the negotiation of complex commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and other third parties.

Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English.

Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple assignments to support a global business.

Ability to learn business requirements quickly, analyze legal and business risks, and propose creative, business-oriented solutions.
