ZEISS Digital Partners unit based in Munich, Oberkochen, Jena and Budapest is realizing cutting-edge customer-centric digital solutions jointly with the ZEISS business units.
We need you to work on greenfield projects as well as improving existing data pipelines on a variety of business domains from healthcare to different manufacturing technologies.
Your profile:
- At least three years of experience in the field of data engineering
- At least one year of experience with cloud technologies like Azure, AWS, or GCP; therein, experience with the following services (or their equivalent): Azure Functions, Azure Synapse, and Azure Database for PostgreSQL
- Ideally at least one year of experience with Databricks or MongoDB
- Deep knowledge in Python programming, thorough knowledge of popular packages such as pandas or polars
- Fluent in PySpark and SQL
- Solid understanding of data modeling
- Solid understanding of software engineering practices such as unit testing, typing, OOP/functional programming
- Experience in IaC (esp. Terraform) is a plus
- Ideally experience in a dashboarding solution such as MS Fabric, MS PowerBI, or Grafana
- Well-versed in CI/CD tools and practices (Github Actions, Azure DevOps or similar)
- Thorough understanding of git and collaborative workflows
- Team player, interest in working on a variety of topics, curious to learn, happy to share knowledge with colleagues
- Very strong technical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication with peers, technical teams, and business representatives.
- Fluency in English both oral and writing
