This role will provide critical support to Head of Data Analytics & Insight in fulfilling the mission of turning PVA into a data led
organization via:
- Lead and drive analytics portfolio for the assigned function(s)
- Contribute to the implementation of data analytics strategy at corporate level
- Build up analytics capability for PVA
Responsibility
I. Lead and drive analytics portfolio for the assigned function(s) via the below (including but not limited to):
1. Interact on a frequent basis with business stakeholders from assigned functions to:
a. Clearly understand and keep up to date the function specific goals, challenges & opportunities, key focuses and how they
align to the strategic objectives of the organization
b. Build, propose and lead the implementation of analytics plan for the whole year
c. Receive problem statements from business stakeholders, manage & propose analytical approach to solve. At the same time,
proactively challenge the status quo & consult business stakeholders with data analytics/ data science solutions
2. Manage and be responsible for the final delivery of all analytics works from delivery team (dashboard team & data science
team) via:
a. Closely work with, provide guidance and support to delivery team to ensure excellent execution (timing & quality)
b. Communicating findings and recommendations and collaborate with other business functions in rolling out action plans
II. Contribute to the implementation of data analytics strategy at corporate level:
1. Taking part in the process of brainstorming and defining data analytics & insights strategy
2. Proactively identifying & utilizing new/ under-leveraged/ external sources of data for integration purpose to provide full
picture understanding
3. Taking part in data centralization project(s) which aims to reduce unnecessary efforts in data cleaning, validation and
reconciliation
4. Taking part in process/report rationalization and/or automation wherever possible across the organization 5. Leading/ Co-leading: a. External engagements for know-how transfer/ best practice sharing/ technical trainings: Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence (AI CoE), Analytics Experts from different LBUs, PVA’s strategic partners, etc. b. Internal engagements for PVA’s skillset improvement and mindset transformation via: Data Analytics and Insights Community of Practice (CoP) and other internal communities 6. Coach and train junior team members (via hosting classroom training and providing on-the-job coach)
