Cybersecurity Specialist - Advanced

Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL
Position: Cybersecurity Specialist Advanced
Responsibilities:

• Applies knowledge of Cyber policy, procedures, and workforce structure to develop, implement, and maintain a cyber-secure environment.
• Supports, monitors, tests, and troubleshoots hardware and software IA problems pertaining to the enclave environment.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish enclave security related goals.
• Works independently to solve problems quickly and completely.
• Reports to government managers for enclave operational requirements.
• There are no supervisory responsibilities, but the employee may coach and mentor other employees.
• This is an on-site position located on Redstone Arsenal, AL.
• Some travel is expected for this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s in STEM / Cyber-related field or equivalent from an accredited institution with 5 Years of Cyber technical experience.
  
  • Acceptable alternative: Bachelor's Degree in STEM / Cyber-related field or related with 8 years DoD cyber technical experience and knowledge demonstrated in missile defense related or other complex, large DoD programs / projects.
• IAT III Certification prior to accepting position.
  • CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, and/or CCSP.
• Must have technical certification or 3 years’ experience with McAfee Endpoint Security, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Splunk, and / or experience implementing network / enclave / system security toolsets with experience reviewing technical assessment reports and prioritizing technical corrective actions.
  • Must achieve certification in required tools within 6 months of position acceptance.
• Additional capabilities (not required but supportive of the MDA mission) Experience in technical review / management / assessment of Software, Cloud, Firewalls, Network Defense, Ports, Protocols, and Services Management, and / or DevSecOps.
• An Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
