As a field service engineer for Agilent, you will be responsible for supporting our clients with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and delivery of customer training on our chromatography solutions (LC, LCMS along with other instruments).
You will work at a variety of customer sites, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade and preventive maintenance activities
- Contact customers in a timely manner and schedules service efficiently
- Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations
- Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures
- Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately
- Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered - use the complaint handling system as required
- Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during and after service
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting of service jobs.
- This role won’t be head-office based and you will working remotely combined with travel to customer sites in Ireland (a company car will be available to you).
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with the following background:
- University degree in Life Science related topic (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc…)
- Previous experience as a Field Service engineer is desirable but not essential
- First hands-on laboratory experience with chromatography solutions (LC, GC, LCMS…) as an end-user or in a technical support role
- Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful and timely.
- Good experience with Computer/Software/Server connected and operated equipment.
- Experience in LC/MS techniques is desirable but not essential
- You will need to be proactive and self-driven, as well as having curiosity and willingness to learn new products.
- You enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
- A Full, Clean EU driving license

Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
