THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking a Corporate Accountant to join the Corporate Reporting team. This position will play a key role in completing the corporate accounting processes and assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycle.
RESPONSIBILITES
As a member of the Corporate Reporting team, the successful candidate will be given responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing monthly corporate accounting journal entries
- Preparing financial analysis related to the corporate accounting processes
- Providing financial data and related analysis to support information requirements across the organization(including G&A analysis and support)
- Preparing working papers to support the consolidated financial statements and the accompanying notes to the consolidated financial statements
- Providing assistance in the preparation of supporting documentation for MD&A and securities filings
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic and service-oriented with the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in a Business, Finance, Economics or similar discipline
- Professional accounting or finance designation (completed)
- Exceptional team player with a motivation to learn
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Superior analytical skills with a keen focus on attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability in managing multiple tasks and meeting strict reporting deadlines
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in financial reporting in an energy-industry setting preferred
- Experience with Qbyte and Optix reporting considered an asset
