About This Role:

As a Specialist, Contract Support, you will play a pivotal role within our procurement team, focusing on the review, evaluation, revision, negotiation, and execution of a broad range of contracts in line with the Global Procurement and Global contract review policies. You will be entrusted with the critical task of maintaining the integrity of our contract repository, ensuring that it reflects ongoing and concluded agreements. You will provide ongoing support to Biogen stakeholders and assist with management of supplier contracts through the contract lifecycle. The value you bring to the team is immeasurable, as you will be ensuring that our procurement processes are streamlined, compliant, and supportive of our strategic goals. Within the business structure, you will act as a liaison between Category Managers, Legal Department and stakeholders contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service and support to Biogen business. You will report to Manager, Contract Support in GBS Global Procurement organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Independently perform contract reviews, scrutinizing all terms and conditions and identifying deviations from standard language.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure contract compliance with management policies and procedures, seeking input from SMEs when necessary.
  • Manage the request lifecycle, executing action points, conducting follow-ups, and providing timely updates on contract status.
  • Advise stakeholders on our contracting process, clarify contract terms, and recommend best practices based on company policies.
  • Work closely with internal business stakeholders, the Legal Department, and Subject Matter Experts on escalated matters.
  • Develop and refine internal knowledge resources, including corporate tools, playbooks, processes, and guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal clauses, internal procedures, and negotiation positions.
  • Facilitate the routing of reviewed contracts for signatures and the uploading of signed contracts to our contract repository system.
  • Other duties as assigned and modified to meet business needs.

This role is in hybrid work model. Please note that this role requires a candidate to be a holder of work permit & residency in Poland.

Qualifications

Who You Are:
You are a detail-oriented individual with a Master's Degree in Law and at least two years of post-graduation experience handling international contracts across multiple jurisdictions. You are confident in your ability to independently draft and manage contract reviews and negotiations. Your excellent communication skills enable you to articulate complex terms in a clear and precise manner. You thrive on collaboration, effectively building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. Organized and agile, you can juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on delivering quality outcomes. Your sound business judgment is matched by your proficiency in MS Office Suite, making you a well-rounded candidate for this role.

Required Skills:

  • Master's Degree in Law (required).
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduation experience as a lawyer with exposure to international contracts under multiple jurisdictions (required).
  • Proven work experience as a procurement contract specialist in the Biotech industry or a related field (required).
  • Experience with Contract Management workflow and systems (required).
  • Excellent written, comprehension, and verbal communication skills (required).
  • Strong attention to detail (required).
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment (required).
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (required).

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build relationships with stakeholders of varying seniority.
  • Experience in developing and conducting training on contract-related topics.
  • Knowledge of best practices in contract management and negotiation.
