We are now looking for the Continuous Improvement Manager, APAC. This position will be located in Johor Bahru or Changshu.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and drive continuous improvement support within regional operations.
  • Execute the continuous improvement strategy and roadmap agreed in Global Operations management.
  • Assess, coordinate, and support activities, standards, tools, and systems related to continuous improvement.
  • Adopt UPM Values and Aiming Higher mindset in daily work.
  • Coach factory teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Enhance continuous improvement management systems globally with other regions.
  • Ensure best practice sharing and collaboration between factories and terminals.
  • Lead or coordinate regional improvement programs, portfolios, or projects.

Who you are

  • You have a background in continuous improvement.
  • You possess knowledge and experience in continuous improvement management systems, standards, and tools.
  • You have beneficial knowledge and experience in labelstock production.
  • You hold a technical education to degree level.
  • You have a Lean Sigma Black Belt certificate.
  • You are able to clearly communicate how continuous improvement drives operational excellence.
  • You have proven leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • You possess strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.
