Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Proposals, this position is responsible for preparing and producing, professional and effective copy in support of both prospect level RFP responses as well as in service of general product marketing initiatives on behalf of the member companies of Reliance Matrix.  This position will have primary responsibility for establishing, maintaining and optimizing a network of Subject Matter Experts across all Reliance Matrix departments and representing client, prospect and broker interests within the communications structure to ensure product and process changes are captured, understood and communicated appropriately in the context of the presale, sales and retention parts of the client lifecycle. 

This team member will work closely with Marketing Communications colleagues to prepare, validate, customize and maintain product and business process information required for presale, sales and client retention activities and communications. This person will design and maintain a repository and conduct all internal training relevant to both self-service and assisted use by internal customers.

This position will also work closely with both the Chief Marketing Officer and others in support of inorganic growth strategies, as this information will continue to be invaluable in these endeavors as well. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiation and facilitation of the initial initiative call with relevant stakeholders at all Reliance Matrix member companies.

  • Coordination and management of internal and external deadlines and deliverables.

  • Proactive follow-up and documentation of outcomes or additional support needs.

  • Oversight and ongoing maintenance of the RFP/Proposal Team database.

  • Maintenance of associated Subject Matter Expert (SME) roster.

  • As required, responses to industry survey requests, including LIMRA, Eastbridge Consulting, JHA, etc.

  • Drafting collateral materials for new product offerings & editing of existing collateral materials when necessary, in adherence with established brand guidelines

  • Facilitate and communicate agreed-upon strategy to all members of the resource team through conference calls, meetings and other on-going communications.

  • Focus on creating customized executive summaries addressing key concerns in accordance with agreed-upon strategy.

  • Apply competitive information wherever possible.

  • Apply Internet research to further drive strategy and customize content.

  • Research non-standard questions and distribute any questions and exhibits to be completed by members of the resource team within 48 hours of receipt.

  • Organize and manage scheduled update of the database(s).

This individual must be able to work in an autonomous manner, delivering and maintaining accurate, timely, effective and strategic copy for a variety of products and services. They must have the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality and customer service. Insurance and group employee benefit product knowledge is highly desirable.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, emphasis and proven skills in communications, journalism, business, insurance, marketing or related field required. 

  • 5+ years of content marketing and/or communications experience

  • 5+ years of experience in group employee benefits required.

  • Knowledge of supplemental health products, highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of Federal entitlement programs (FMLA & ADA) is highly desirable.

  • Superior project management and communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in using Microsoft Office software platform required.

  • Strong ability to deal with tight deadlines and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads and multi-task.

The expected hiring range for this position is $78,290.00 - $104,520.00 annually for work performed in the primary location (Philadelphia, PA). This expected hiring range covers only base pay and excludes any other compensation components such as commissions or incentive awards. The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be based on several factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Work location may be flexible if approved by the Company.
