Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Renewables Estonia Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be helping us to take care of maintaining and building relationships with communities by continuous engagement and community benefit implementation. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Developing and implementing community engagement plans to foster support for renewable energy projects
  • Planning, organizing, and attending events and outreach activities with political, business, and social stakeholders to promote onshore wind projects
  • Responding to community inquiries to ensure transparency and build trust in renewable energy initiatives
  • Maintaining records of community engagement efforts and preparing reports to track progress
  • Ensuring that community engagement strategies and financial support models align with Estonia’s best practices and Ignitis Renewables’ policies
  • Monitoring social media and communication channels to assess community sentiment and address concerns
  • Collaborating with teams across Lithuania, Latvia, and Poland, as well as with communication specialists, to coordinate engagement efforts

Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Up to 2 years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or related fields, preferably in renewable energy or project-based environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Estonian and English
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage projects in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Understanding of community dynamics, renewable energy milestones, and communication tools to support project goals
