The Opportunity
Our Corporate Communications group is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver to the Business Communications team, based in Houston, TX.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Communications, US, we are seeking a well-rounded communications generalist who can manage end-to-end communications to communicate, engage and drive awareness of our business to external audiences as well as our more than 6,500 employees.

What you will do
- Support project execution by implementing communication tactics that see projects through pre-construction and construction to integration into operations
- Prioritize, troubleshoot and escalate incoming communication requests
- Support our internal business partners by maintaining templates and guidance documents – ensuring access and awareness to the self-service tools available
- Assess, review, edit and advise on internal communications plans and content
- Work with our corporate communications team and business partners to identify, curate and publish content on our internal communication channels – for example, intranet news and announcements, and company-wide emails
- Collaborate and liaise with the broader communications and external relations team
- Support project communications: create public notices and advertising for engagement, open house collateral, factsheets, conduct research as required
- Manage project tracking and reporting
- Prepare PowerPoint templates and presentations
- Support internal communications, which could include employee town halls, presentations and speaking materials as well as employee advocacy initiatives
- Write favorable content for Intranet, external website and social channels
Minimum Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree in a relevant post-secondary field such as communications, journalism, public relations or business
- Four years of related experience
- Experience managing and publishing intranet news and announcements, weekly briefing newsletter and company-wide emails
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Co-op or Internship experience in a communications / PR team
- Energy or Regulated sector experience
- Excellent use of prioritization and flexibility with changing priorities
- Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPoint
- Experience with web-based technology for managing incoming service requests and publishing communications

- Occasionally be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours
