Job Description
The Assistant Manager – Social Media will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive social media strategies for both Anantara Bophut and Anantara Rasananda. Based in Samui and Koh Phangan, this role requires a dynamic, creative, and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multi-property campaigns that reflect the luxury and cultural authenticity of the Anantara brand, as well as Guilty, a restaurant concept in Anantara Bophut.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute innovative social media strategies tailored to each property / outlet, ensuring alignment with overall brand objectives.
- Coordinate multi-property campaigns that maintain a consistent yet locally nuanced brand voice.
- Content Creation & Management:
- Oversee the creation, scheduling, and publishing of engaging multimedia content across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Collaborate with in-house creative teams and produce high-quality, visually compelling content.
- Performance Analysis:
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, track key metrics, and adjust strategies based on data insights.
- Prepare regular performance reports and present findings with actionable recommendations.
- Community Engagement:
- Foster and maintain active engagement with online communities, influencers, and potential partners.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and feedback on social platforms.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, PR, guest services, and operations to ensure integrated communication strategies.
- Manage relationships, ensuring clear communication of goals and consistent delivery of services.
- Crisis & Reputation Management:
- Monitor social media channels for potential issues, proactively manage any crisis situations, and ensure swift resolution to protect brand integrity.
- Industry Trends:
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends, digital marketing innovations, and competitor activities to keep the properties ahead of market shifts.
Qualifications
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of proven experience in social media marketing within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing social media initiatives for multi-property clusters is highly desirable.
- Experience in directing and collaborating with media agencies is beneficial.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written command of English.
- Creativity & Design: Strong creative acumen with a solid understanding of design principles to create visually appealing content.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools, as well as basic graphic design or video editing skills.
- Teamwork & Adaptability: A proactive team player with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Analytical & Organizational: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Working Conditions
- Base Location: Samui, with regular travel between Anantara Bophut and Anantara Rasananda.
