Job Description

  1. Job Purpose

The Channel Manager, APAC at LGC Standards manages a leading portfolio of reference materials and analytical standards including ranges produced under ISO/IEC 17025 and accredited to ISO 17034. LGC Standards products are used to check the quality and metrological traceability of products to validate analytical measurement methods for research and development and for the calibration of instruments.

Working within a dynamic, fast-moving environment, the role holder will develop and maintain relationships among industry business partners as well as develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals for distributor channels throughout APAC.

The candidate will serve as part of the LGC Standards APAC Commercial Team, reporting directly to the Director, Commercial APAC.

  1.  Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business plans to deliver revenue goals within the assigned territory end-user accounts and sales channel across LGC Standards products and services portfolio.
  • Establish and maintain account, partner and prospective partner relationships.
  • Identify potential channel partners, as well as decision makers to contact withinn the company.
  • Proactive lead a joint partner planning process that includes performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones associated with a partner relationship
  • Manages potential channel conflict with other sales channels
  • Drives implementation of company programs among assigned partners.
  • Maintain a high level of market and competitor intelligence.
  • Work closely with marketing team to maximise new product launches.
  • Liaise closely with internal colleagues to ensure a seamless customer experience.

  • Individual with the right attitude to want to succeed in a commercial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Understands how to work within, and delivering results, through a matrix organisation.
  • Ability to travel regularly.

Qualifications

  • Masters preferably in a Chemistry or Biochemistry area.
  • At least 3-year experience in managing international channel partners within the Pharma, Biotech or Life Sciences sectors, ideally in the field of lab consumables or products.
  • Experience in managing team.
  • Native in Japanese and fluency in English.
  • Strong organizational skills - able to execute plans that deliver growth from current partner base whilst developing business growth from new partners.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across customers and internal stakeholders.
