About the role

As a Strategic IT Procurement Specialist, your work will have a big impact on our current operations. People will count on you to participate in strategic discussions and healthy debates with various levels of cross-functional experts with the aim of identifying and creating innovative solutions in partnership with third party suppliers, and to move quickly with the changing environment and be up to date with the latest products and services and market trends.

You’ll also handle many key responsibilities:

Develop sourcing strategies for IT related initiatives and commodities that support overall Intact’s innovation strategies.

Leverage on effective market intelligence and cost modelling to develop and support negotiation strategies.

Lead proposal (RFX) process for high complexity and high-risk transactions/agreements.

Develop and maintain partnership approach with suppliers focusing on TCO and ROI
-
Develop supplier key performance indicators and service level agreements that drive value and optimization.

Your Skills:

5 to 15 years of related experience in procurement and strategic sourcing, including 3 to 5 years in an IT environment

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent professional experience.

Deep understanding of strategic sourcing principles and P2P processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies.

Strong project management and communication skills
-
Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to details.

For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country
-
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
