Job Description

Checkout.com is seeking a talented Card Issuing Onboarding Manager to join the adventure and support the business’s growing Issuing Onboarding team based in London. 

As an Onboarding Manager, you will work closely with clients to define their requirements while coordinating with internal stakeholders to launch the card programme. You will manage the entire end-to-end onboarding process, from pre-sales and initial scoping to implementation and handover to business-as-usual teams. This role offers unique exposure to our core business areas, fostering collaboration with key internal stakeholders.

What you will be doing:

  • Responsible for day to day interaction with internal teams (Commercial, Finance, Risk, Legal, Operations, Engineering and Product) involved in onboarding new Issuing clients. 
  • Management of the relationship with the client whilst the project is in progress
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers throughout the implementation process, fostering relationships and gaining a deep understanding of their integration requirements.
  • Work with internal and external teams to ensure that deliverables and operational processes are implemented prior to putting an Issuing client live.
  • Create project plans to monitor the tasks of the project and communicate the progress to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensuring continuity of information in handover to Operations and Customer Support teams.
  • Working with partners such as Mastercard, Visa, Apple, Thales, Fime and Google to enable bespoke card issuing products. 
  • Building and enhancing onboarding processes to improve project delivery efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Strong project management / client delivery experience, with 4+ years experience working in the payments industry.
  • Proven track record of success in customer-facing project delivery and management roles.
  • Solid knowledge of the card issuing and payment processing industry, previous experience working with schemes, perso bureaus and digital wallet providers (Apple & Google Pay) is a plus.
  • Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver on projects and card programme launches.
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email).
  • Ability to work under pressure and muti-task.
  • Adaptable to ambiguity and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to approach problems in a qualitative manner, always working to find a solution.
  • Creates streamlined processes, aiming for simplicity and efficiency.
  • Expected to be hands on. Not shy to get stuck in and roll your sleeves up.
